Sam Obrochta

Asst. Director of Access Initiatives

Born and raised in the Midwest, I moved to Philadelphia for a yearlong volunteer program with a small nonprofit, similar to AmeriCorps. What was supposed to be a year in Philly has now turned into seven and counting! My career began with an internship at KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, where I quickly immersed myself in school operations, admissions, and enrollment. I was drawn to the work—and even more so to the impact it had on students and families.

I continued to build on this passion at TECH Freire Charter School, where I developed skills in project management, event coordination, data analysis, and creating strategies to make systems more accessible and equitable.

Now, I’m excited to serve as the Assistant Director of Access Initiatives with Elevate 215, where I can continue expanding awareness of K-12 school options, collaborating with schools and community partners, and using data to drive meaningful change. I’m passionate about problem-solving, bringing people together, and creating opportunities for students and families to thrive.

A proud graduate of Marquette University, I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Theology. In my free time, I love spending quality time with my partner and our cats, traveling, crafting, and curling up with a latte and a good book.
