Thousands of Families Welcomed to the K-12 Philly School Fair

Elevate 215 Welcomed Thousands of Families to K-12 Philly School Fair

The K-12 Philly School Fair, along with Philly Schools Compass and Apply Philly Charter, is part of Elevate 215’s $1M investment to make it easier for families to access the school of their choice.

Elevate 215 and Philly Schools Compass—a project of Elevate 215 designed to provide Philadelphia families with comprehensive, accurate, and accessible information about their school options—welcomed nearly 6,000 families to the city’s largest school selection event, the K-12 Philly School Fair, on Saturday, September 20th.

The K–12 Philly School Fair was an important opportunity for families across our city to explore the wide variety of educational programs available to their children. Events like this reflect Mayor Cherelle Parker’s One Philly agenda and help make navigating school options simpler and more equitable—supporting families in finding the right fit for their children’s interests and talents.

At the Fair, over 185 public district, public charter, private, and faith-based schools had information booths staffed by knowledgeable representatives ready to answer questions for families and students. Attendees explored academics, extracurricular activities, and programs each school offers. Students also used the Fair’s Application Center, with laptops available to apply on-site to schools using their respective application systems.

The leading sponsors for the Fair were the School District of Philadelphia, PECO, Comcast, and The Connelly Foundation.

Important information for families about application deadlines:

  • District School Selection: Sept. 8 – Oct. 23
  • Apply Philly Charter: Sept. 19 – Jan. 20, 2026
