Elevate 215 is seeking a Coordinator who will support the organization in establishing a strategic vision to secure the financial resources needed for sustainability and growth.
JOB SUMMARY
The School Investments Coordinator, School Initiatives will play a key operational role in supporting Elevate 215’s investment strategy. The Coordinator will help manage the administrative and operational aspects of the department’s work, including grantmaking processes, communications with schools, convenings and events, and internal data tracking. The Coordinator will ensure that key processes run smoothly and the Investment Team has the information and logistical support needed to effectively engage with schools and partners. The School Investments Coordinator, School Initiatives will report directly to the Deputy Chief of School Based Initiatives and work closely with the Investment Team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Department Operations & Project Coordination
- Support the day-to-day operations of the School Initiatives team, ensuring strong organization, communication, and coordination across projects and initiatives.
- Assist in managing timelines, documentation, and logistics related to school investments and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note-taking when appropriate.
- Provide operational support to the Deputy Chief of School Initiatives, helping ensure the department’s priorities and initiatives move forward efficiently.
- Maintain organized records of key documents, including grant materials, school reports, and program resources.
Grantmaking Process Support
- Support the administrative and operational aspects of Elevate 215’s school investment portfolio.
- Assist with managing grantmaking processes, including collecting and organizing application materials, budgets, and required documentation from schools.
- Track key grant milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Support the preparation of grant agreements, progress monitoring materials, and internal grant summaries.
Maintain organized records related to school investments and funding allocations.
School Engagement & Communications
- Serve as a key point of coordination for communications with school partners.
- Assist in managing communications with school leaders regarding grant timelines, reporting requirements, and upcoming opportunities.
- Help prepare materials for school meetings, school visits, and grantee convenings.
- Draft and coordinate communications to school leaders, partners, and stakeholders as needed.
- Support the development of content that highlights the work and impact of schools in the investment portfolio.
Events, Convenings, and Engagement
- Support the planning and execution of department-led convenings and events for school leaders and partners.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and events, including invitations, registration, materials, and follow-up communications.
- Assist with planning and implementation of events that highlight school impact and foster collaboration among partners.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Communications and Development, to support event planning and execution.
Data Tracking & Impact Support
- Assist the School Initiatives team in tracking key data related to school investments and program outcomes.
- Support the collection and organization of data from schools, including progress reports and key performance indicators.
- Help prepare internal summaries, dashboards, and reports that communicate progress and impact.
- Assist with gathering information and stories that showcase the outcomes of Elevate 215’s school investments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Comfort working with data, tracking systems, and reporting tools
- Ability to assess classroom instruction and provide actionable feedback to school leaders Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs) and CRM databases (with a preference for Salesforce).
- Experience with basic design or content platforms (such as Canva) is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience required.
- Experience working in K-12 education (public, public charter, or private) or in organizations that support schools, preferably in Philadelphia, is strongly preferred.
- Classroom teaching experience or school-based experience preferred.
- Understanding of school operations, instructional improvement, and school leadership.
- Experience supporting school improvement initiatives or education programs.
- Experience supporting professional learning, convenings, or leadership development initiatives.
- Experience supporting projects, programs, or operational functions in a team environment preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as:
- Traveling to offsite meetings – valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation when necessary
- Functioning in office space — reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing, mailing, making phone calls
- Must be able to sit for up to two hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse and typing
