Tanya Ruley-Mayo

Driven by the experiences of those close, Tanya has dedicated her career to fostering quality and equity in K-12 education. Prior to joining ELEVATE 215, Tanya served as chief executive officer for a Philadelphia based charter school where she drove the strategic priorities of the organization and oversaw the completion of a $10M capital construction project. Previous to that she worked with Mastery Charter Schools, the School District of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia Youth Network in different policy, education leadership, and administrative roles.

A firm believer that success for ALL requires best-in-class instructional and operational programs, Tanya has worked the past 20 years at the intersection of administration, governance and public policy to help students, their families and educators to close the achievement and experience gaps through program and fiscal management, policy advisement, and organizational and professional development.

Tanya received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Johnson C. Smith University and her Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Temple University.
